Today we feature an unusual wacky. This one comes to us from the pages of science history. It has the added bonus of being a really cool prank. The wacky factor comes from how wonderfully the prank succeeded.

A century later and we still don't know for sure who the wacky genius was behind it. It's also hard at this distance to judge the incredible effect it had on the scientific community of the day. Kudos, anonymous prankster!
